Displaying “Superstar quality” according to Al Schlesinger, T-Ray is sure to make an enormous mark in the music industry. Born in Niagara Falls, NY, singer and songwriter T-Ray began vocal development at age 4 in the church. Her grandmother would take T-Ray and her brothers to church frequently.

There, T-Ray would fall in love with the piano and choir music. She explored her new love by being in Chorus all throughout middle and high school. At 15, T-Ray wrote her first song with a couple of friends from high school, while living in Germany. That was the defining moment! T-Ray knew that music was to be her life story!

After careful thought, T-Ray knew her knowledge of the music industry needed more depth. In 2010, she made a bold decision to attend Full Sail University in Winter Park, FL. “I believe if you know the business side of the industry, your presence and relevance will last for years,” T-Ray says. In spite of a hectic school schedule and full time job, T-Ray was determined to hone her skills in Orlando area. She had the opportunity to have a sit down with Al Schlesinger, Veteran Entertainment Lawyer. “Superstar quality,” Al proclaimed. After winning an artist showcase at Club 57 West in November hosted by DMB Entertainment, Inc., she has been the featured headliner for the following three performances. More recently, T-Ray impressed the ears of Jerry Waller, veteran blues musician and scored a performance at Holly’s and Dolly’s in Casselberry, FL.
T-Ray compares her soulful music to a drama, filled with comedy, action, happiness, suspense, and unexpected twists and turns. “I write about what happens to me….People can relate to bad relationships, struggles, pursuing dreams….I like singing stories!”
In addition to Mary J. Blige, T-Ray’s influences include Aretha Franklin, Patti Labelle, and Classic Rock music. “My dad would listen to ACDC, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Lynrd Skynrd, Bon Jovi…My mother listened to a lot of blues and Motown!”
While music has stolen her heart, T-Ray has a deep love for entrepreneurship and the business side of the industry. Since completion of her Music Business Bachelor of Science degree at Full Sail University, T-Ray relocated to Atlanta to further her musical career. With the release of her debut single, “From Your Love” on March 1, 2011, T-Ray is definitely on the path of success.
